The City of Hampton is hosting its 2nd Annual Words on Wheels at Sly Clyde. Gather your buddies and tour Downtown Hampton, Phoebus, and Fort Monroe on bicycle to collect letters to win prizes - Yes, Sly Prizes!
The event is a self-paced bike ride event.
- Teams launch their Words on Wheels adventure the Sly Clyde Ciderworks Tap Room.
- They ride their bikes, collecting letters from participating businesses throughout Downtown Hampton, Phoebus, and Fort Monroe.
- Then groups return to the Tap Room to play a word game (it may resemble scrabble but their lawyers won't let us call it scrabble) on an over-sized letter board to see which team can build a word with the highest point value. (Sound familiar? You might have to hunt around for just the right letter.)
Location: Teams will begin at our Tap Room.
Parking: Parking is free and available or teams can bike!
The Fine Print: No pre-registration is required. Teams may be any size, but a 4-pack of prizes will be given to the team that builds the highest value word. And yes, please feel free to arrive alone if you can't convince your sofa loving buddies to join. Teams can be assembled on-site.
Ages & Skill Levels: This event is open to all. Please note this is without a ride leader and teams will venture at their own pace and speed to the participating locations (we will provide a list of locations prior to the event). Some prizes may not be appropriate for those under 21 years of age.

Ride on, adventurers!
